AVILANA’S JAHANOON

Hi, I'm Shira.
In my home kitchen, in Yeruham, I bake the Jahnoon and fry the Melawah, the two most famous Yemenite pastries, as my Yemenite mother and grandmother taught me. With the help of my husband, Mosko, I grind the hot green peppers and herbs to make the ``zhug`` (can be bought by weight). The pastries comes with grated tomatoes, hard-boiled egg and green zhug. Everything is done with love, while maintaining cleanliness and quality of the products and of the packaging. The Jahnoon can be bought frozen for baking and the Melawah for self-frying.
